Really honoured to have been asked to be part to this years’ RAW Photographic Expo at Helderfontein Estate, Midrand.
I’ll be in the presence of some great SA shooters so I’m looking forward to meeting you and chatting about your lighting challenges, successes and in general just catching up.
On Friday the 12th of June i’ll be doing a live action shoot with two of SA’s top freestyle dancers – Drew Mathie and Courtnae’ Paul. They’ll be interacting with some props, and the lighting set-up will give you a better idea of how to freeze action, dramatically. It’s cool freezing the action, but more importantly, its better when we add a more dramatic look to the images too. That way the images really grab the attention of the viewer, instead of just becoming another shot of a dancer jumping into the air.
On the 13th of June I’ll be talking about CAPTURING ACTION EFFECTIVELY, visually illustrated by some of my favourite images. I’ll be taking you through kit required to pull off high speed photography and will also be discussing location
